French people seem to be extremely fond of whiskey, as a report says 176 million bottles of whiskey were bought by France this year.
Despite paying a high customs duty on each bottle, India is the world's second-largest importer of whiskey.
Next comes the US! Though there were disputes between the US and Europe and import was affected, the US ranks third on this list.
The demand for scotch whiskey has increased dramatically over the previous year, propelling Brazil to fourth place on this list.
Despite the fact that Japan produces its own whiskey, it still purchases 56 million bottles of Scotch.
Scotch whiskey consumers have decreased in recent years in Spain, but they still make to the list with 48 million bottles purchased.
Germany buys up to 46 million scotch whiskey every year.
