Pilibhit | Jagran Trending Desk: In a bizarre video shared by a senior police officer from Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit district, a police inspector can be seen sitting on his desk and checking some files quietly while a monkey can also be seen sitting on the inspector’s shoulders, in the patent monkey position looking for lice.

"The monkey came inside the station premises in the afternoon and bit one of the woman officers. After that, he sat on my desk and as I tried to move, attacked me too. He later ensconced on my chair and began flipping through my hair," Srikanth Dwivedi, the Station House Officer (SHO) said as quoted by news agency ANI.

He further said that the monkey wandered around the station till late night and was released in the nearby forest area in the morning with the help of Police personnel.

The video was shared by Rahul Srivastav, an Additional Superintendent for Uttar Pradesh Police, and was viewed more than 16,000 times and received more than 1,000 'likes' till now.

"The experience of these police officers in Pilibhit suggests that if you do not want to be disturbed while you are at work... use Reetha, Shikhakai or some other good shampoo," he captioned the video.

While the cop kept his calm and showed his bravery despite being disturbed by the monkey, others present in the station can’t stop their giggles and can be heard commenting on the situation.

Meanwhile, in the video two men can also be seen behind the cop suggesting ideas to get the monkey off the officer’s back. One of them even suggested offering bananas to distract the monkey.

The video went viral on the social media sites, and netizens can’t stop making fun of the video and the police officer. One user said that “the monkey maybe a friend of the officer, while another user called the monkey’s action a ‘free Seva’.
