New Delhi | Jagran Trending Desk: A picture of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, is going viral on social media. The picture was originally captured and tweeted by a resident in Bihar's Singhwahini village. In the surprising event, she woked up to the stunning view of the mountain after decades. The peak is located less than two hundred kilometers away in Nepal.

The viral picture was shared a Twitter user Ritu, Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Singhwahini that lies in Sitamarhi district. The picture shows the snow-capped mountain with green trees pictured in the front. While sharing the snap, Jaiswal said that this is first time that she saw the Himalayan peak from her village.

"Today we can see Mt. Everest from our terrace in our village Singhwahini in Sitamarhi district. Nature is balancing itself," she wrote on the micro-blogging website in Hindi.

"The mountains close to Nepal were sometimes seen in clear weather after the rain. In fact, the Darshan of the Himalayas took place for the first time today from his village," it added.

The picture has so far garnered nearly 1,000 likes.

Replying to the tweet, a user wrote, "Wow, looks like I have to visit my native place in Sitamarhi soon to capture this marvellous picture... @activistritu ... really amazing picture."

"And this is not the first time the snow cladded mountains have become visible. They can be seen on a sunny day during monsoons," wrote another user.

When questioned if she was sure that it was Mount Everest in the picture, she said that her husband used to see the peak from the village during the 80s.

Due to coronavirus lockdown since May 24, India has witnessed a rapid downfall in the level of air pollution.
