New Delhi | Jagran Trending Desk: A Twitter user recently shared the picture of a parcel which Amazon delivered. But the just-opened box did not have what was originally ordered from Amazon, a lotion worth rupees a few hundreds, instead it had Rs 19,000 worth of earphones. Cherry on the top, when the man contacted the Amazon about such a phenomenal goofed up discrepancy while delivering the order, the e-commerce platform refused to accept the return by calling the order as-received ‘non-returnable’.

“Bose wireless earbuds (₹19k) delivered instead of skin lotion (₹300). @amazonIN support asked to keep it as order was non-returnable!,” a Twitter user @gautamrege wrote on twitter.

“And God said, let there be noise-cancellation,” reacted one user.

“I ordered amla juice two days ago. I receive amla juice only!!  @amazonINwhat is this behaviour?,” quipped another user.

“I have used these headphones and they are fantastic. Cost around 18k. You got them for Rupees 300. Good for you.. Bad for the merchant. Amazon doesn't want you to return the headphones.. That's the Almighty's signal that you should accept this gift. Enjoy the sound,” explained another Tweeple.

The rationale behind the non-returnable nature of such orders has been explained as follows. Amazon has to bear the cost of returning the item, while loss goes to the merchant. “Additionally merchant will be charged penalty for having problems with the order. @amazonINwill always make profit,” a user explained on microblogging site.

The tweet has gone wildly viral on Twitter with over twenty-one thousand likes and four thousand retweets. Many expressed their envy that such lucky goof-ups rarely happen, and when they do, the person at the receiving end has to be a lucky chap among a huge number of e-commerce users.
