Did Chris Evans' Captain America predicted coronavirus crisis in 2011? Here's what netizens have to say
New Delhi | Jagran Trending Desk: The 2011 superhero movie Captain America: The First Avenger, which starred Hollywood actor Chris Evans, became a talk of the town on Saturday after some fans shared the screenshot of the final scene of the movie, claiming the movie predicted the coronavirus crisis way back in 2011.
Some eagle-eyed fans caught something strange during the last scene of the movie and decided to share some screenshots of it on the social media platforms.
The netizens shared the screenshots of the closing scene of the film when Steve Rogers aka Captain America wakes up in modern-day New York City and the picture showed the recent happenings of the world. The netizens noticed that flashing billboards in the backdrop showed the glimpse of Corona beer and a round object that looks like a virus strain.
“By George, we did it” was also written in the backdrop. Netizens took it as a reference to the George Floyd protests. Floyd was an African-American man who was brutally killed by police in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020. His death sparked outrage across the United States and internationally.
Captain America movie threw another subliminal message. Not only are there pictures of Corona beer and the Corona virus on the billboards but if you zoom in, you will also find a billboard written, "By George, we did it" situated close to the Corona billboards. LMAO. pic.twitter.com/Vhm86wkPh1

A friend who’s fully into the covid conspiracies sent me this post that says Captain America predicted the coronavirus outbreak in 2011, and while its obviously bs, I started fixating on that circled image on the right. pic.twitter.com/N4XywDTZEx— William Mullally (@whmullally) June 11, 2020

It is not a secret that the world has turned upside down in just a short period. The year 2020 has brought more sadness than any year since decades. The year is showing us the constant chain of problems like coronavirus pandemic, climate change, economic crisis, political conflicts, and whatnot.
