Sydney (Australia) | Jagran Trending Desk: Almost the whole world is in lockdown to control the spread of the novel coronavirus. Due to the lockdown, people across the world have limited their activities to check coronavirus’ spread. 

Several people have also complained that they are not able to enjoy their favourite foods due to the lockdown. Amid this, an Australian man, unable to control his craving, travelled 32 km to fulfil his desire to eat the perfect butter chicken in lockdown.

According to a report by The Weekend Australian, a man in Melbourne drove all the way from Werribee in the city’s west to the CBD to have his favourite butter chicken and to satisfy his craving. The man, however, was fined 1,652 dollars for violating the restrictions put by the Australian government.

According to the Australian Police, so far 74 people have been fined for gathering at public or private places, whereas at least ten people were stopped at vehicle checkpoints even during the ongoing lockdown. People have been breaking the rules to gather in private or public places "to catch up with friends or consume alcohol", the police has said.

Earlier in June, dozens of suburban areas in Melbourne were lockdown down to control the spread of the highly contagious coronavirus. The local administration had also announced ten zip codes covering 36 suburbs where residents are required to stay at home till July 29. It was announced that residents will have to face fines if they leave home. 

It has been months since the novel coronavirus has come into existence. The deadly virus, which is caused by SARS‑CoV‑2, emerged from the Wuhan city of China and later transmitted all over the world. It has affected 1,42,46,121 people and claimed the lives of 6,01,512 people globally so far.
