The unconfirmed clarifications, however, from Delhi's official circles have suggested that the move is aimed at ensuring the social distancing as the huge crowds of the workers get accumulated in the industrial areas at the start and end of the shifts.
The one hour delay in the timeline on the basis of alphabetical nomenclature is aimed at ensuring as less number of workers as possible at the start and end of the work shifts with respect to ensuring the social distancing norms, necessary to be in place to control the potential spread of COVID-19 infection.
