Recently a lot of new features have been added to this app to enhance its safety.. Consistent security updates of the Facebook-owned app has made WhatsApp a favorite messaging app for its users. Through this app, you can not only send messages, but also send files and do video conferencing.
In its latest feature, Select All has been added to delete the message. Due to this feature some users accidentally delete some important messages or multimedia contents. If something has happened with you, keep calm. Here's a step wise explanation about how you can recover your deleted WhatsApp message. These methods are for both Android and iPhone users.
Go to the file browser.
Step 1: Tap on WhatsApp database.
Step 2: Tap on the file 'msgstore.db.crypt12' and press long.

Step 3: Press 'msgstore_backup.db.crypt12'. Rename with the name of. By doing this your file will not be overwritten.
Step 4: Name the latest file 'msgstore.db.crypt12'.

Step 5: Go to Google Drive and tap on the three vertical lines on the right side.
Step 6: Go to the back-up folder and delete the latest backup.
Step 7: Uninstall WhatsApp and reinstall it.
Step 8: While installing the app, go to the restore message option and select local backup.

Step 9: Select the msgstore.db.crypt12 file and restore the message. This way all your old messages will be recovered.
Android and iOS users can also restore messages through cloud storage backup. For this, you will have to uninstall the WhatsApp app. After uninstalling the app has to be reinstalled again. After logging in, you have to select Restore Message from Cloud Storage. By doing this all your old messages will be recovered.
