New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Millions of users worldwide, including in India, were left clueless on Wednesday evening when Facebook and its family of apps including WhatsApp and photo-sharing platform Instagram entered a global outage.

The Facebook, however, on Thursday said that all services have been restored across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

"Earlier today, some people and businesses experienced trouble uploading or sending images, videos and other files on our apps and platforms. The issue has since been resolved and should be back at 100% for everyone. We're sorry for any inconvenience," said Facebook in a statement.

The users were not able to transfer any form of media including audio, images, and videos. The outage happened across the world including Europe, Africa, and the USA.

The services on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram were inactive for an hour on Wednesday from 8.30 pm IST. However, the users were able to send just text messages in some parts of the world, the app was completely down in Scotland and Zimbabwe.

Online outage tracker Down Detector logged several complaints from across the world including in India.
