New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi on Thursday launched Redmi Note 9 series in India. It announced a couple of models 'Redmi Note 9 Pro' and 'Redmi Note 9 Pro Max'. The smartphones are powered with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 SoC and feature a quad rear camera setup. Though the smartphones share most of the specifications including processor, design and battery capacity, there are some differences that set them apart.

Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max specifications

The smartphones feature a 6.67-inch full HD+ display with 450 nits brightness, oleophobic layer on top and come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Both Redmi Note 9 Pro and 'Max' support dual-SIM and run on Android 10-based MIUI out-of-the-box.

While Redmi Note Pro is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage, 'Max' pairs the Qualcomm SoC with 8GB and the peak storage remains at 128 GB. The internal storage capacities of these phones can be exceeded to 512 GB via SD card.

Both smartphones come with 5020 mAh battery, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, A-GPS, accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, among others.

Redmi Note 9 Pro supports 18W fast charging support, while 'Max' supports 33W fast charging.

Camera

Redmi Note 9 Pro includes a 48 MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, 8 MP wide-angle camera, 5 MP macro lens, and 2 MP depth sensor. It also includes a 16 MP selfie shooter. The device can record 1080p videos at up to 60 fps, 4K at 30 fps, and slow-motion videos at 960 fps.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max's quad rear camera setup, on the other hand, includes 64 Mp primary camera with f/1.89 aperture, 8 MP wide-angle camera, 5 MP macro lens, and 2 MP depth sensor. It includes a 32 MP front camera to help you capture brighter pictures at an effective 8 MP resolution.

Price

Redmi Note 9 Pro costs Rs 12,999 for 4GB+64GB variant. Its high-end variant (6GB +128GB) is available at Rs 15,999.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999 for base variant (6GB+64GB), Rs 16,999 for 6GB+128GB model. Top-end model 8GB+128GB model comes at Rs 18,999.
