New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Chinese smartphone maker Realme is all set to launch its new 5-series mobile phones in India on August 20. The 5-series smartphone will be a successor to 3-series. Under this new series, the smartphone will include a quad rear camera setup and also feature an ultra-wide-angle lens.

The e-commerce website Flipkart has revealed that the Realme 5-series phone is launching in India on August 20 and its sale will begin at 12.30 pm on the same day at its website.

The development comes just days after the company revealed its 64 MP camera phone that sports a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor. The device could be named as Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.

Apart from confirming the launch, Realme highlighted that upcoming device will have a secondary sensor with wide-angle 119-degree field of view, tertiary sensor and a super macro lens with 4 cm focal length and fourth sensor with a portrait lens.

Flipkart has also released a teaser of the 5-series, which shows the smartphone's back panel, it has quad-camera setup and LED flash. Samsung and Xiaomi will also use the same sensor that is mentioned above in their 64 MP camera phone.

Also, Realme phone could arrive with a new sensor as Realme X Pro, an upgrade to its previous version 'Realme X'.

The 64 MP camera phone was unveiled in New Delhi last week, where Realme had revealed its plans to launch two additional quad-camera smartphones. The company is yet to reveal the official brand name of the handsets, but one of them will be launched on August 20.
