New Delhi | Jagran Technology Desk: Reliance on Wednesday announced Jio TV Plus at the 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2020. With the launch of Jio TV Plus, the Reliance announced that it will act as a content aggregator and will enable the JioFiber set-top-box users to watch content from 12 different Over The Top (OTT) platforms including Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, Hotstar among others.

The Reliance also said that the Jio TV Plus will also enable users to watch TV Channels, and use various apps and services together under the same platform.

Mukesh Ambani’s son Akash Ambani also demonstrated the Jio TV Plus User Interface (UI) during the 43rd AGM of Reliance. “For decades, TV content has been largely broadcast-dependent without any interactivity. With JioFiber, we have reimagined this experience and brought interactivity to TV. Through the Jio App Store on the Set-Top Box, one can access internet applications across multiple genres such as entertainment, education, health, cooking, yoga, gaming, religion, and many more,” Akash said at Reliance’s AGM event.

What is Jio TV Plus:

One of the main features of Jio TV Plus is that it requires a user to log in a single time instead of logging in on different apps separately. The Jio TV Plus is also voice-enabled and is much like the Amazon Firestick and Alexa.
