New Delhi | Jagran Technology Desk: Apple on Tuesday launched its latest flagship smartphones -- iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone Pro Max -- at an event held in Steve Jobs Threatre, Cupertino.

The new iPhones are "jam-packed with new capabilities and incredible new design," Apple chief executive Tim Cook said at the event.

The main highlight of all three iPhone models is the camera capabilities. iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max feature three rear cameras, whereas the iPhone 11 packs a dual rear camera setup.

Here is a brief look at the differences between the three new iPhones.

Price:

The surprise from Apple was the reduction in the entry-level price at USD 699, down from the starting level of USD 749 for the iPhone XR a year ago even as many premium devices are being priced around USD 1,000.

In the US, the iPhone 11 starts at $699 (approximately Rs 50,300). In India, prices will start at Rs 64,900 for the base variant with 64GB of storage. Apart from the base 64GB variant, Apple iPhone 11 will be sold in 128GB and 256GB storage options, which are kept at the price of $749 and $849 respectively.

The iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999 in the US and will be sold in India at Rs 99,900 for the base variant with 64 GB of storage. The iPhone 11 Pro will also come in 256GB and 512GB storage variant, which are kept at $1149 and $1349 respectively.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at $1099 in the US and will start at Rs 1,09,900 for the base variant with 64 GB. The Pro Max will also come in 256 GB and 512 GB variants with a price tag of $1249 and $1449 respectively.

Apple will announce the prices for Indian markets later for the 128 GB and 256 GB storage variant of iPhone 11 and 256 GB and 512 GB variants of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Specifications:

According to Apple, all three iPhone models will support dual-SIM connectivity via a Nano-SIM card slot and an eSIM. The phones also run on iOS 13 and pack the Lightning connector.

The iPhone 11 comes with an aluminum frame with a glass back. The highlight of the smartphone is the 6.1-inch display and dual rear cameras. There is support for Dolby Atmos, spatial surround audio. It is powered by A13 Bionic SoC, which Apple claims is the fastest chipset on a smartphone. Apple says it is energy efficient and can offer 1 hour more battery life than the iPhone XR.

iPhone 11 Pro comes with a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR (1125x2436 pixels) OLED display with 458ppi and 800-nit peak brightness, whereas iPhone 11 Pro Max houses a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR (1,242x2,688 pixels) OLED display with 458ppi and 800-nit peak brightness.

Camera:

Apple iPhone 11, comes with a dual rear camera setup - – 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8) + 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.4). Apple iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have the same triple camera setup – 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/1.8) + 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.4) + 12-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.0).  The three phones have the same selfie shooter – 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Resistance:

All three new iPhone models are powered by A13 Bionic chip and are rated IP68 for dust and water-resistance, however iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max can last up to 4 meters underwater up to 30 minutes whereas iPhone 11 can only last up to 2 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.

Weight:

iPhone 11 measures 150.9x75.7x8.3mm and weigh 194 grams, the iPhone 11 Pro's dimensions are 144x71.4x8.1mm and it weighs 188 grams. The iPhone 11 Pro Max measures 158x77.8x8.1mm and weighs 226 grams.

Pre-orders begin on September 13 and as mentioned above, the sale will start on September 20.
