New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: The next banking and mobile app services of the private lender HDFC Bank have been down from Monday morning. The customers are unable to access their bank accounts and perform transactions on the web. Affected by the services, customers have been taking to social media to complain about the inconvenience they have been facing for the last two days.

In a statement posted on Twitter HDFC said that the services have been down due to a technical glitch. "We apologise that the resolution of the technical glitch is taking more time than anticipated. Our experts are working round the clock. While some customers are able to transact using NetBanking and MobileBanking App, a few may still be facing intermittent issues," it wrote in a tweet post.

"Needless to say this is not the experience we would like our customers to have and we sincerely regret the inconvenience," it added.

With customers around 4.5 crore, HDFC Bank is the country's largest private bank in terms of market capitalisation.

Meanwhile, irked customers took to social media to express their anger.

"Totally Disappointing, Not able to access my account from the past 2 days. No access to own funds. What's Going On??? Really frustrating," a user tweeted.

"Extremely horrible experience with HDFC bank ever since I started banking with you. Since the last 24 hours, NetBanking and Mobile banking are not working and there's no information sent to customers. I am stuck since yesterday to transfer money!!" wrote another user.

"Internet Banking is down for more than 24 hrs. The nationalized bank should explain why so much of delay in fixing this issue. When it comes 2 charging customers for insufficient balances, u leave no stone unturned," wrote another user on the micro-blogging site. 

The shares of HDFC Bank were down by 0.77 per cent at close on Tuesday.
