New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: World wide popular messenger WhatsApp have now become a necessity for its users as people use it for almost everything, from sending messages to documents, songs, pictures and videos.

But, with its easy user interface, it does have a feature that can become really annoying at times. We are talking about the WhatsApp groups and almost everyone has been on the receiving end of those lame jokes, good morning messages, unnecessary videos and irritating poems.

However, the instant messaging app owned by Facebook has a solution for that too. It has a feature where you can stop people from adding you to unwanted groups.

Here’s how you can activate this feature, but first you must have a latest updated version of WhatsApp downloaded from Google Play Store or the App Store.

Steps to follow;

1. Open WhatsApp on your phone

2. Go to the Settings tab and under that click on the Accounts tab

3. Once you are in the accounts section, click pon Privacy

4. Tap on groups

5. You will see three options here: ‘Everyone’, ‘My Contacts’ and ‘Nobody’.

6. Depending on your preference of who can add you in the group, choose any one option.

If you choose the ‘Nobody’ option, it will let the admin of the group to send you a personal invite to join the group. If you feel that it’s a group that you want to be a part of then you can accept the invite.

So , these simple steps can evidently help you in stopping those endless bombardment of messages that keep chiming in every other minute.
