New Delhi | Jagran Technology Desk: The most popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, does not need any introduction. The Facebook-owned company is the most used messaging app across the globe. Since its introduction, the company has added a number of new features in the app.

Now the Facebook is adding some more new features to the app which has been spotted on the beta version of the app. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp will soon be having at least 3 new features. Lets have a look on the new features spotted at the beta version of the app.

The company has added this feature considering the large amount of messages, including photos, videos, GIFs documents, being sent on the app. To search previously shared media becomes a tedious task for the users, hence the company has added this feature. According to the new feature, the search option in chats will get an expansion, which is currently limited to only text messages. Now a person can search media and documents also.

The new feature added to app save your chats. According to this feature, a user can set a password for their chat backups on Google Drive. The feature would be accessible in the Chat backup settings which would easily encrypt your chat backups with a password. The feature will also restrict Google and WhatsApp to view your chat contents.

The biggest problem users face is the large number of forwarded messages on the app. Not only do they clutter up the app, but they also bring a host of unwanted multimedia with them. WhatsApp is expected to disable auto-download feature to curb the extensive sharing of unwanted messages including, images, videos, documents, and voice messages. Earlier this week, WhatsApp had announced restrictions on forwarded messages in India to just one chat at a time.
