New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: After a small alteration by Reliance Jio to charge 6 paisa per minute on voice calls to existing telecom services such as Vodafone and Airtel, the tug of war between the telecom operators have resumed again. They have come up with new monthly plans to take on each other.

Despite imposing charges to other mobile networks in its latest monthly and quarterly plans, Jio plan prices remain the same (expect Rs 222 plan). However, it is asking for a separate recharge for calls to other telecom networks. Vodafone-Idea and Airtel, on the other hand, have continued its existing plans without any restrictions of voice calls to other networks.

Here's a brief look at monthly and quarterly plans of Jio, Airtel and Vodafone:

Jio

In its Rs 399 plan, Jio is offering 1.5 GB data along 100 SMS each day and unlimited voice calls on a daily basis for 84 days. It recently started to charge users 6 paise per minute for voice calls to other telecom users, claiming it was done to recover its losses on an annual basis.

In order to call to other networks, you need to top-up with at least Rs 10 plan for which you will also receive 1 GB of data. The charge will continue till February 2020 until TRAI cancels the IUC charge.

Vodafone and Airtel

Vodafone-Idea and Airtel are offering 1 GB data and 100 SMS per day with unlimited voice calls for a period of 84 days in its Rs 399 plan.
