ASUS ROG Phone 2 set to launch on Monday, set to face tough battle from rivals OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro
New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Chinese smartphone maker Asus is set to launch its ROG Phone 2 smartphone at 12.30 pm on Monday. The device is designed especially for game lovers and it is expected to be launched with its previous version. The device has been teased on Flipkart and may include 120 Hz refresh rate, better than OnePlus 7 Pro that was launched a few days ago.
As per Asus ROG Phone 2 features that have surfaced online. It will include 6.59-inches screen with LED display, screen resolution of 1080*2340 with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is expected to include 10-bit HDR feature display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its display will support high-end graphics.
The live stream can be watched on its official YouTube page beginning 12.30 pm.
The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 plus chipset processor with UFS 3.0 storage support. It can be available in 12GB RAM + 512 GB storage capacity. It is based on ROG UI based Android Pie. Among camera features, Asus ROG Phone 2 includes 48 MP primary sensor and 13 MP secondary sensor. It could include a 24 MP selfie camera. The smartphone could be powered by a powerful 6000 mAh battery capacity.
It will be interesting to see Asus ROG Phone 2 price in India. The device is expected to face a tough battle with OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro that is set to launch on September 26. The smartphones have been teased earlier, OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro will include Snapdragon 855+ chipset and Android 10 operating system. The price range is expected under Rs 40,000.
