New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: Korean smartphone giant Samsung is expected to launch five new devices on its August 5 Virtual Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung confirmed this week. President and head of mobile communications business, Samsung Electronics, T.M. Roh made the announcement in a blog post published by the company on Monday.

“At this summer’s Galaxy Unpacked, we’ll be introducing five new power devices. These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seam seamlessly and continuously wherever we go,” said Roh in a blog post on Samsung’s website.

What lies on the platter is a whole load of much-awaited and equally anticipated serving of some of the most talked-about gadgets Samsung has come up with in the recent years.

Although there is no official confirmation as yet, the credible leaks from tech nerds have suggested that following gadgets could be unveiled by Samsung in its August 5th- Galaxy Unpacked event

Galaxy Note 20 series

According to the several media reports, Galaxy Note 20 is going to be a star attraction at the mega event. Samsung typically launches a new line of Galaxy Note smartphones in August and this year it will showcase the new Galaxy Note 20 series at the event. Rumours and speculations floating suggest that three smartphones including Galaxy Note Ultra, Note 20 Plus and Note 20 will see the light of the day. It is also expected that Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be this year’s flagship model.

Galaxy Fold 2

Another major expectation on the mega event is the launch of Glaxay Z Fold 2 which is hyped as it could be the next foldable device from Samsung. The South Korean giant, earlier this week, posted a video on Twitter confirming the launch of the next-generation foldable smartphone. Samsung shared a small video with a butterfly logo of Galaxy Fold and wrote "A new look unfolds" in the post.

Galaxy Buds Live

The earbuds are expected to be the rival of Samsung’s latest Airpods. The bean-shaped earbuds wil feature active noise cancellation.

Galaxy Watch 3

The company is also expected to introduce the latest smartwatch from the house of Samsung. The watch has been featuring in the rumour mill for a while now and could come in 41mm and 43mm variants.

Galaxy Tab S7

Its most powerful tablet at the big event on August 5 is going to be next-generation Galaxy Tab S7. However, not enough information has been shared on its specifications.

‘Stiff test’ of partnerships’ in pandemic

Samsung, while emphasising upon the partnerships and collaborations even with its rivals, said that the pandemic poses a ‘stiff test’, and thus it become important to come together. In past few months, it has stitched partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Netflix and Spotify, among others.

“We worked with Google to optimize video-calling so users could more easily connect. We also expanded our partnership with Microsoft so Galaxy smartphones and Windows PCs can share messages, photos, and calendar reminders in real-time,” Samsung said, while adding that its collaboration with Microsoft will include the Xbox-gaming as well.
