New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Indian woman wrestler Babita Phogat on Friday appeared all fired up while defending her remark on the statement that she made on Twitter regarding Tablighi Jamaat members.

Babita in her response to the criticism said she is no 'Zaira Wasim' that people can call her down and screw her for the opinion she has, as no counters for her statement are potential threats according to her.

After micro-blogging site, Twitter was flooded with tweets asking the concerned authorities to suspend her twitter account as she is spreading communal hatred, is when Babita took to twitter reverting on the criticism.

In her tweet the wrestler used a hash tag that was found offending and communally disturbed by many twitter users.

Phogat as quoted by news agency ANI, said that “soon after her tweet she started receiving threat messages on various social media handles”, “I am no Zaira Wasim”, she further added. Telling about how she has always managed to fight for the country, Phogat said that “she will stand by her opinion which is absolutely fine as nothing wrong has been stated by her”, she said.

The wrestler then tries to establish her statement, saying, “we all know that people who gathered for the Jamaat are the ones due to who landed us in such a condition in, otherwise looking at the prior condition we would have been done by the lockdown by now”.

This incident gathered both hatred and support on twitter, but her account was still temporarily blocked by the twitter authorities earlier this month.

Later, Babita tried to clarify her statement saying that it was not a communally inclined tweet as the tweet made by her had intentions to bash people who have been attacking on duty officers like doctors, nurses, and police.
