New Delhi l Jagran Sports Desk: In one of the most thrilling match of the ongoing Pro-Kabaddi league season 2019, Patna Pirates beat Tamil Thalaivas by a margin of just 1 point and won the match 24-23.

Tamil Thalaivas tried their best to reduce the deficit during the last moments of the game but eventually fell one point short of a tie. During the 32nd minute, Patna Pirates were leading at 20-16 and it seemed they will easily defeat Thalaivas by a good margin.

The three-time champions, Patna Pirates was not able to do their best in the second half but luckily escaped with a win. Thalaivas had changed the points table to 21-24 in 39th minute, they tried to make Patna's star player Pardeep Narwal's raid unsuccessful but managed to earn only two points from a successful tackle and eventually lost the game by one point.

The match started tight with both Tamil Thalaivas and Patna Pirates at 11-11 at half time. Jaideep from Patna Pirates bagged most points (seven) in the match while Tamil Thalaiva's Rahul Chaudhary earned 5 points to claim 900 raids in the Vivo PKL history. Meanwhile, Manjeet Chillar completed 300 tackle points in the ongoing seventh season of the tournament.
