Pro-Kabaddi league: Desai helps Telugu Titans finish campaign on high note, Bengal Warriors claims top spot
Bengal Warriors reached to the top of the pro-kabaddi league table after defeating Tamil Thalaivas 33-29.

New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Siddharth Desai scored a super 10 to help his team Telugu Titans register a 41-36 win over U.P. Yoddha at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathak sports complex in Noida on Wednesday. Sumit also helped in the defence as UP Yoddhas tasted first defeat at home in the ongoing season. The visitors built momentum from the early start as they were 20-14 at half time. 'Bahubali' Desai scored 15 tackle points while Krushna Madane registered four tackle points. UP Yoddha players couldn't match their performance as Srikant Jadhav and Sumit scored 8 raid and 5 tackle points respectively.
Despite bringing U Mumba's top raider Siddharth Desai, Telugu Titans managed to win just six out of 22 matches they have played in season 7.
In another match, top performance from Sukhesh Hegde and Sourabh Tanaji Patil's consistent raids helped Bengal Warriors defeat Tamil Thalaivas 33-29 to claim top spot above Dabang Delhi K.C. in the pro-kabaddi league standings. The contestant was enthralling to watch as the two teams were 13-13 at HT. Hegde claimed six raid points while Rinku Narwal scored five tackle points. For Tamil Thalaivas, Rahul Chaudhari scored seven raid points and Sagar scored five tackle points.
Tamil Thalaivas ended at the bottom of the league table after managing just four wins in 22 matches.
In today's match, fifth-placed U Mumba will take on Haryana Steelers, who are placed on top three of the pro-kabaddi league standings.

As of now, six out of 12 teams have qualified for the semi-final stage in the ongoing seventh season of the pro-kabaddi league 2019. It includes Bengal Warriors, Dabang Delhi K.C., Haryana Steelers, U.P. Yoddha, U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls (last season champions).
Eliminators and Semi-finals (2 matches each) will be held on October 14 and October 16 respectively and the final is scheduled to take place on October 19 (Saturday).
