New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: League leaders Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur registered respective wins over opponents in Gameweek 7. Table topper Liverpool won their 16th consecutive game in the premier league, defeating Sheffield United 1-0. Georginio Wijnaldum scored the only goal of the match during the 70th minute.

Champions Manchester City, who are currently six points behind Liverpool, beat Marco Silva's man Everton 3-1. Gabriel Jesus (24'), Riyadh Mahrez (71') and Raheem Sterling (84') registered goals for Man City while Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the only goal for Everton in the 33rd minute.

Mauricio Pochettino's side Tottenham Hotspur won 2-1 against Southampton. Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane and Danny Ings (Southampton) scored goals, all during the first half.

In other matches, Chelsea kept a clear sheet against Brighton Hove Albion defeating them 2-0. Jorginho (p 50') and Willian (76')scored second-half goals. Crystal Palace also beat Norwich by the same margin, Luka Milivojevic scored 21st-minute penalty while Andros Townsend kicked in the stoppage-time goal.

Wolverhampton too defeated Watford 2-0. Matt Doherty scored an 18-minute goal while Daryl Janmaat scored an own-goal for Watford.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Burnley settled for a 2-2 draw. In the latter match, Aston Villa were leading 1-0 at half time.

Liverpool, Man City and West Ham United are placed in top three of the premier league standings. Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Watford, on the other hand, are facing a relegation battle. Watford is yet to win a match. They had lost their previous match against Man City 8-0.
