New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Watford on Saturday stunned everyone by defeating Liverpool 3-0 and bring an end to their unbeaten season in the Premier League. The win at Vicarage Road also saw the hosts come out of the relegation zone.
Ismaila Sarr scored a couple of goals while Troy Deeney also scored one goal. The spectacular win helped the Hornets edge ahead Bournemouth, who draw 2-2 with Chelsea, while West Ham boosted their chances of survival with 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Liverpool remains 22 points clear and well on course for a first Premier League title in 30 years. However, their hopes of doing so by matching Arsenal's unbeatable streak in 2003/04 were ended by an inspired performance by Watford.

"You have to accept it, it's not so easy, but it's the proof we were not good enough tonight," said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after his team's 44-game run without defeat in the league came to a crashing end.

"Ismaila Sarr is an unbelievable player, unbelievable talent. He still has a lot to learn and will continue to learn, but I think it's a full team performance," said a proud Watford captain Deeney as quoted by AFP.

In other matches, Marcos Alonso rescued Chelsea against Bournemouth. After Alonso's opener, two goals in three minutes from Bournemouth's Josh King and Jefferson Lerma turned game around. The equaliser by Chelsea came during the 85th minute. While Chelsea failed to reach the top four, Bournemouth were also the victims of Liverpool's collapse as they fell into the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, West Ham moved out of the bottom three with first league win since New Year's Day. The David Moyes side registered a 3-1 win over Southampton.

Brighton also registered a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

In the second tie of the matchday, Newcastle finished with a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley.
