New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Seventeen-year-old Manu Bhaker on Wednesday won gold medal in the 10-meter air pistol event at ISSF World Cup Final being held in China. Bhaker shot a score of 244.7 in the final -- in the process setting a new junior world record in the event.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju also congratulated Bhaker on her win in the ongoing tournament. In a tweet, he wrote, "A gold for India in the Shooting World Cup Final in Putian as @realmanubhaker wins gold in the women's 10m air pistol with a score of 244.7. @KirenRijiju congratulates her on the win. Our shooters have already won 15 quotas for #Tokyoinparu2020."

Meanwhile, Serbia's Zorana Arunovic won a silver medal with 241.9 while China's Quian Wang bagged bronze medal with score of 221.8. Among other Indians, Yashaswini Singh Deswal finished sixth in the final of the men's event.

Meanwhile, Elavenil Valarivan and Divyansh Singh Panwar also added two gold medals in India's tally in the ongoing ISSF World Cup Final in the 10-metre Air Rifle event.

Elavenil clinched the gold in women's category with score of 250.8 in the final round. She was followed by Lin Ying-Shin (250.7) of Taiwan and Romania's Coman Laura-Georgeta (229.0). Her compatriot, Mehuli Ghosh finished at sixth spot with a score of 163.8. 

Divyansh won gold in the men's category after he shot a score of 250.1 in the final round. Hungary's Peni Istvan won silver with a score of 2.0 while bronze was won by Jany Patrik who scored 228.4
