New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Hours after Rahul Gandhi, at 'Bharat Bachao' rally, said that he won't apologise for his 'Rape in India' remark, BJP leader Sambit Patra took a dig at him and said that the BJP will give him a new name and call him 'Rahul thoda sharam kar' as the Congress leader has crossed all limits of shame and dignity.

"If he (Rahul Gandhi) wants a new name, then today onward BJP will call him by the name of 'Rahul thoda sharam kar'. He should actually have a little shame, a person who compares 'Make in India' to 'Rape in India' has crossed all limits of shame and dignity," news agency ANI quoted Patra as saying.

Patra further said that Rahul Gandhi can never be 'veer' or be at par with Savarkar and accused the Congress leader of using Pakistan's language for Article 370 and Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

"Even if Rahul Gandhi takes 100 births he can't be Rahul Savarkar. Savarkar was 'Veer', patriot and had sacrificed. The language Rahul Gandhi uses for Article 370, air strike, surgical strike, CAB is Pakistan's language. He can't be 'Veer' or be at par with Savarkar," Patra added.

Meanwhile, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya also attacked the Congress leader and said that he is looking forward for the Shiv Sena to defend his remark. "Looking forward to seeing Shiv Sena defend Rahul Gandhi for his statement implying that Veer Savarkar was a coward who apologised'!," he said in a tweet.

While another BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that Rahul Gandhi's more appropriate name would be "Rahul Jinnah" as his mindset makes him "a worthy legatee of the former Pakistan Prime Minister".

"The more appropriate name for you Rahul Gandhi is RAHUL JINNAH. Your Muslim appeasement politics and mindset makes you a worthy legatee of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, not Savarkar," he tweeted.

Speaking at the 'Bharat Bachao' rally in Delhi's Ram leela maidan, the Congress launched a scathing attack at the BJP and said that he won't apologise for his 'Rape in India' remark as he is not 'Rahul Savarkar'. In his address, the Congress leader also highlighted the government over the economy, farmers' distress and the current situation prevailing in the country adding that PM Modi has single-handedly destroyed the country's economy.

"I was told in Parliament by BJP yesterday 'Rahul Ji, you gave a speech. Apologise for that.' I was told to apologise for something right. My name is not Rahul Savarkar. My name is Rahul Gandhi. I will never apologise for truth," said Rahul Gandhi.

"No one from Congress will apologise. It is Narendra Modi who should apologise. He should apologise to the nation. His assistant Amit Shah should apologise to the nation. I will tell you why they should that," he added.
