In his first public reaction after being sacked as Rajasthan Congress chief and deputy chief minister, rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said that truth cannot be defeated. Taking to Twitter, Pilot wrote in Hindi," Truth can be disturbed, but it can't defeated."

Pilot has also removed all the references to the Congress party from his Twitter bio, which now reads "MLA from Tonk | Former Minister of IT, Telecom and Corporate affairs, GOI | Commissioned officer Territorial Army."

The reaction from Pilot came hours after he was removed as state Congress president and Rajasthan deputy chief minister. Along with Pilot, two of his loyalists Ramesh Meena and Vishwendra Sing, both state Cabinet ministers were also sacked from their posts.

Pilot had declared open rebellion against Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and claimed to have support of 30 MLAs. However, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala claimed that their government in Rajasthan was stable and more than 100 MLAs reportedly attended a meeting of Congress Legislative Party in Jaipur earlier today.

The Congress has appointed state Cabinet minister Govind Singh Dotasra as its new state unit chief. Pilot's name plat has been removed from state Congress office, according to news agency ANI.

CM Ashok Gehlot meet Governor

Soon after, Rajasthan chief minister reached Raj Bhawan to meet Governor Kalraj Mishra with a proposal to remove Pilot as deputy CM and his two other aides as ministers. The Gogernor has accepted the Gehlot's proposal.

"High command was compelled to take the decision because since a long time BJP was conspiring and resorting to horse-trading. We knew it was a big conspiracy; now some of our friends went astray because of it and went to Delhi," Gehlot said after meeting the Governor.

Reacting to Pilot's sacking, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jitin Prasada said that Pilot worked with dedication for the Congress party and hoped there situation can still be salvaged.

"Sachin Pilot is not just a collegues but my friend. No one can take away the fact that all these years he has worked with dedication for the party. Sincerely hope the situation can still be salvaged. Sad it has come to this," Prasada wrote on Twitter.
