Rajasthan Crisis LIVE: Pilot's ouster puts Gehlot govt on edge, CM calls cabinet meeting at 7.30 pm
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan seems to be far from over rebel Sachin Pilot skipped the second parliamentart meeting called by the Congress in its bid to woo the sulking Deputy Chief Minister. While the party's top leadership, including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, continues to persuade Pilot, the latter remains cold to the overtures.
Party leaders had said 106 of 122 MLAs – from Congress and the allies -- attended Monday's meeting, a claim contested by the Pilot camp. Pilot and his supporters claimed to have the backing of 30 Congress MLAs and some independents. Pilot has been upset since he was denied the Rajasthan chief minister's post after the December 2018 assembly elections.
On Monday night, Pilot released a video showing Congress and other MLAs from his camp strategising in a resort situated in Haryana's Manesar.
