Rajasthan Political Crisis: Ashok Gehlot says Sachin Pilot playing into the hands of BJP
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday said that rebel leader Sachin Pilot is playing into the hands of the BJP in the saffron party's bid to repeat what it had done in Madhya Pradesh. Speaking to reporters after meeting state Governor Kalraj Mishra, Gehlot said that BJP's intentions will not fructify in Rajasthan. The chief minister claimed that Pilot and and his loyalists were given ample opportunities to resolve their issues but chose to skip both the Congress Legislature Party meetings on Monday and Tuesday.
"There is nothing in Sachin Pilot's hands, it is the BJP which is running the show. BJP has arranged that resort and they are managing everything. The same team which worked in Madhya Pradesh is at work here," he told reporters after meeting the Governor.
Earlier in the day, the Congress sacked Sachin Pilot as Rajasthan deputy chief minister and the party's state unit chief. Two of Pilot's loyalists -- state Cabinet ministers Ramesh Meena and Vishwendra Pratap Singh -- were also removed from their posts. Govind Singh Dotasra has been appointed as the new Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee chief.
Gehlot said that Pilot's attitude over the last few months was similar to "aa bail mujhe maar (calling for trouble)" and while no one was happy about the decisions but he joined hands with the BJP.

Reacting to his sacking, Pilot said that truth cannot be defeated. Taking to Twitter, he wrote in Hindi,"Truth can be disturbed, but it can't be defeated." He also removed all the references to the Congress party from his Twitter bio, which now reads "MLA from Tonk | Former Minister of IT, Telecom and Corporate affairs, GOI | Commissioned officer Territorial Army."
Reacting to Pilot's sacking, senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jitin Prasada said that Pilot worked with dedication for the Congress party and hoped there situation can still be salvaged.
"Sachin Pilot is not just a collegues but my friend. No one can take away the fact that all these years he has worked with dedication for the party. Sincerely hope the situation can still be salvaged. Sad it has come to this," Prasada wrote on Twitter.
BJP says Gehlot government losing power its priority
Meanwhile, Rajasthan BJP president Satish Poonia said that they will decide their strategy once the situation clears but made it clear that their priority is Gehlot government losing power.
