New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday launched a fresh attack on his former deputy Sachin Pilot, accusing the latter of conspiring to topple his government with the help of the BJP. Gehlot said that Pilot's conspiracy to bring down his government was going on for the last six months.

"Nobody used to believe me when I talked of this conspiracy.. Nobody knew that a person with such an innocent face will do such a thing," he added.

"Not here to sell vegetables"

Gehlot also used words like 'Nikamma', 'Nakara' to describe his former deputy and alleged that he was trying to create a wedge between people. "We know he was useless, doing nothing but only creating wedges between people.... I didn't come here to sell vegetables. I am here to become CM," he said while referring to Pilot.

The remarks of the Rajasthan chief minister have come at a time when Rajasthan High Court is hearing a petition by Sachin Pilot and team challenging the disqualification notices sent to them by the Assembly Speaker.

Pilot had last week revolted against Gehlot and reportedly moved to a resort in BJP-ruled Haryana along with 18 of his loyalist MLAs. The Congress had sacked him from the posts of deputy chief minister and party's state unit chief for his alleged conspiracy to topple the government.

So far, Pilot has not come out in the public to tell his side of the story but told several media houses that he will not join the BJP and Gehlot's allegations of colluding with the BJP were aimed at ruining his goodwill with the Congress party's central leadership.
