New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, facing accusations of helping Ashok Gehlot from her party's ally at the Centre, on Saturday broke her silence on the prevailing political uncertainty in the state and said that people of the state were paying for the discord within the Congress.

Raje was accused by Hanuman Beniwal, RLP chief and an ally of the NDA at Centre, of helping Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who is facing a revolt from his former deputy Sachin Pilot.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Raje refrained from directly attacking Gehlot and said that people of Rajasthan were paying for the discord within the Congress party.

"There is no point in trying to drag the BJP and BJP leaders' names through the mud," Raje said amid Congress's allegations that her party was trying to topple the elected government.


The former Rajasthan chief minister said that Congress party's allegations against the BJP have come at the BJP when people of Rajasthan are facing issues .such as coronavirus pandemic, locust attack, women security, electricity among many others.

"Think of the people," she said in her statement posted on Twitter along with a #RajasthanFirst
