New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party registered a landslide victory in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections, has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his swearing-in ceremony on Sunday.

Kejriwal will take oath as the chief minister of Delhi for the third consecutive time along with his cabinet at the Ramlila Maidan at 10 am on Sunday.

"No chief minister or political leader from other states will be invited for the ceremony that is going to be specific to Delhi," AAP's Delhi unit convener Gopal Rai told the Press Trust of India.

Kejriwal's Number 2 Manish Sisodia had yesterday said that the former has invited "everyone in Delhi" to the ceremony.

In a dominant show, the AAP won 62 of the 70 seats in the national capital while the BJP remained a distant second bagging the remaining eight seats. The Congress continued with its dismal performance in the city-state, which it once ruled for 15 years, and failed to open its account.

"Delhiites, you have done an amazing thing (Dilli walo aapne ne gazab kar diya). I love you," Kejriwal said in a brief address to joyous supporters and party workers at the AAP's headquarters in the national capital.

"It is a victory of all and every family who considered me their son and gave us a huge mandate. In the country today, Delhiites have given birth to a new kind of politics, which is called "Kam ki rajniti" (politics of works)," Kejriwal, who won the New Delhi seat, said.

The AAP's stupendous victory came nearly eight months after it suffered a severe drubbing in the Lok Sabha polls in which the party drew a blank while the BJP won all the seven seats.
