After 'gold in cow milk' remark, Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh says cow urine can fight coronavirus
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: As the world awaits a cure for Covid-19, which has killed nearly 6 lakh people and infected over 14 million globally, West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh has suggested cow urine to fight the deadly coronavirus. During his 'Chai pe Charcha' program in Durgapur, Ghosh asked people not to worry and suggested cow urine and ayurvedic medicine for coronavirus.
"If I talk about cows, people fall sick. I tell them a donkey will not understand the worth of cow. This is India, the land of Lord Krishna and here cows are God, we worship. We will have cow urine to stay healthy. Take ayurvedic medicine and don't worry," the Bengal BJP chief said on Thursday, reported The Times of India.
The BJP leader also suggested home remedies that can help in dealing with the coronavirus. "Tulsi is used in every Puja, Bengal Quince is used to worshiping Lord Shiva. Tulsi and Bengal Quince are given to us as 'prasad'. Our forefathers have practised that to stay healthy. Cow urine and stool are used in 'panchamrit' (Hindu religious solution), that too for the same purpose."
'Indian cow's milk contains gold'
This is not the first time the chief of BJP's West Bengal unit has given such a statement on benefits or cow, a sacred animal for Hindus. In November 2019, Ghosh had said that cow milk contains traces of gold which gives it a slightly yellowish colour.
"Desi cows have a hump on their back. Foreign breeds do not have humps and their backs are plain like that of a buffalo. The hump has 'Swarna Nari'. When sunlight falls on the hump, it produces gold. That is why the milk of the desi cow is yellowish or lightly golden. It contains gold," he said.
