Birthday Special: Six times Mandira Bedi proved that 'age is just a number'
The popular television actress turned 48-years-old today. Mandira Bedi, known for her role in the 1994 television serial, Shanti, has time and again proved that age is just a number, and a person can stay young if he/she follows a proper fitness regime and taking care care of your body.
She followed up her career in TV serials with shows like Aurat (DD and Sony), Dushman (DD) and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus) with hosting duties for ICC Cricket World Cups in the years 2003 and 2007 and the Champions Trophies in the years 2004 and 2006 as well as the Indian Premier League season 2 for Sony Max.
She fronted the coverage of IPL season 3 for the British Network – ITV. She debuted as a fashion designer during Lakme Fashion Week 2014 with her saree collection. Bedi also promoted faux leather for PETA. On 26 October 2013, Bedi launched her signature sari store.
Bedi married Raj Kaushal on 14 February 1999. It was announced on 27 January 2011 that the couple are expecting their first child. Bedi gave birth to a boy named Vir on 19 June 2011 at the Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. She also the Fear Factor India show in 2006
Apart from working in TV serials like Shanti and Kyuki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, she also worked in several Bollywood films, including, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Badal, Saaho, Meerabai Not Out, The Tashkent Files, Dus Khaaniyan, Ittefaq, O Teri among others.
She is also a fitness enthusiast and regularly posts videos on her social media handles doing some of the most difficult exercises with an utmost ease. Bedi started fashion designing during the 2014 Lakme Fashion Week and presented her saree collection in the fashion week. She also promoted faux leather to support PETA.
