New Delhi | Jagran Tech Desk: After Airtel, Reliance Jio has also launched its Internet telephony service i.e. Vo-Wi-Fi calling service in some telecom circles of the country. With the introduction of the above service, users will get rid of the problem like call drop. The service comes with the Internet calling feature. In such a situation, if your smartphone is connected to broadband internet through Wi-Fi, you can enjoy voice calling facility despite having no mobile signal. Users will be able to enjoy incoming and outgoing calls through the Vo-Wi-Fi Calling feature on any number. Currently, this service is available only on select smartphones. The service will be extended to all circles in upcoming days.
Will work on these devices
You will be able to use Jio Vo-Wi-Fi Calling service on both iOS and Android devices. The service supports more than 150 smartphones, including brands-- Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Apple, Motorola, Google, OnePlus, Tecno, Coolpad, Infinix, itel, Lava, Mobiistar. Jio users can check the list of smartphones of these brands on the company's official website. Model numbers of each brands are also provided in the list.
Talking about popular phones, all iPhones above iPhone 6 can be avail Vo-Wi-Fi service. The feature is also available on all the smartphones of Google Pixel 3 series, all the smartphones launched by Vivo last year and Samsung's Galaxy M, Galaxy A, Galaxy S, Galaxy Note series smartphones. The service can be availed on Xiaomi's mid and premium range smartphones.
Here's how to enable Jio Vo-Wi-Fi
For Android users, first thing is that your smartphone should have a Wi-Fi internet access.
Go to settings and enable the service by going to the SIM & Network option.
Select Jio by going to SIM Settings.
You will see the option of Wi-Fi Calls. Once you tap on it, you will be able to enable it by tapping on the toggle button.
iOS users can also follow easy steps to enable this service by turning on Wi-Fi Calling on phone's settings.
