New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Day after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed a cases against Rhea Chakraborty and others in death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, the late actor's father KK Singh on Thursday called Rhea a "murderer" and alleged that the 28-year-old actress "used to give his son poison".
Speaking to news agency ANI, Singh, 74, said that Rhea was giving poison to Sushant "from a very long time" and demanded that the "investigating agency must arrest her and her associates".
Rhea has been under the radar of the investigating agencies since Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra. On Wednesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed a case against Rhea and others to probe their alleged dealings in banned drugs.
As per a report by news agency PTI, the NCB has filed a case against Rhea under sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
The probe agency has also formed a team which has been sent to Delhi to investigate the matter. "NCB team from Mumbai has also been asked to start analysing the network of drug peddlers in Mumbai. It has also been asked to look into the Bollywood network," NCB Director General said in a statement, as reported by ANI.
CBI questions Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik at DRDO guest house
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday once again questioned Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik. Showik and Reah's father Indrajit Chakraborty were also examined by the Enforcement Directorate earlier this month.
On Wednesday, the probe agency had also grilled Rajput's friend Siddharth Pithani and Neeraj Singh. As per reports, the probe agency grilled them for over seven hours.
The Supreme Court had on August 19 asked the CBI to investigate the case related to the actor's death, while holding that the FIR registered in Patna was legitimate.
The agency has registered an FIR against Rhea and others in connection with the actor's death after the Centre accepted Bihar government's recommendation to transfer the probe in the matter from Patna.Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
