New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: As per the latest updates from the Tamil Nadu Board exam, the dates for pending papers for Tamil Nadu SSLC exam will be announced after the lockdown on May 3. According to the state education minister KA Sengottaiyan, the evaluation work for class 12 board papers would be declared once the lockdown is lifted. The clarification comes amid rising concerns among students and parents about the declaration of Class 12 result.

As per a tweet sent out Tamil Nadu's education minister, the directorate of government education would resume the evaluation process for 10+2 or HSC only after the nationwide lockdown period comes to an end on May 3. Earlier it was speculated that the Class 12 result would soon be declared by DGETN. But, the minister has confirmed that the results would be declared only after the evaluation process comes to an end post lockdown.

In addition to providing clarifications about HSE, the Education Minister also stated that Class 10 SSLC Exams 2020 will also be held after the lockdown period gets over. As of now, the board has not finalised any dates for pending exams and the situation due to coronavirus is in a fluid state. But, the board would soon issue fresh dates for the remaining papers of the secondary exams.

Meanwhile, private schools have been asked not to charge fees for lockdown period amid coronavirus due to hardships faced by people of the state. The state education minister has informed all private schools not to charge advance fees for the lockdown period. He added that appropriate action would be taken if any school is found violating the order by charging fees.
