New Delhi | Jagran Lifestyle Desk: Father's Day is a special day that is celebrated on the third Sunday of June every year to celebrate the "special bond" that a child share with his or her father. This year, Father's Day will be celebrated on June 21. Though, Father's Day is usually celebrated in June, there are some countries which observe Father's Day in March and May. Father's Day's idea was actually given by Sonora Smart Dodd -- the daughter of United States of America (USA) Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart -- who felt that fatherhood needs to get the desired "recognition".

The day is celebrated with a view to honor all the fathers, father figures, and the forefathers of the world. It is also celebrated keeping in mind the influence of fathers in the life of an individual.

Parents love is eternal, there is no return to the love received from parents. However, for those who can't express their feelings, this rare occasion can help convey the unspoken emotions to them.
