Zomato man walks off with pet dog after delivering food to couple in Pune
Pune | Jagran News Desk: Online food delivery system has been growing to heights in recent times. With everyone going digital, people want everything on their doorsteps. Similarly, a couple in Pune ordered food from ‘Zomato’, and got their food delivered. But to their surprise, the delivery guy walked off with their beagle dog after delivering the food.
According to a tweet by Pune based Vandana Shah, in which she described the bizarre incident and said that the incident took place on Monday afternoon when she found that her dog missing from Karve Road after searching for him for hours.

After which she checked the CCTV footage, and according to the CCTV footage, her dog ‘Dottu’ was last seen playing and roaming within her home cum-factory complex before he went missing.
After hours of searching inside the house, the couple started searching him in the neighbourhood but no trace of him appeared. The worried couple then informed the police, who assured them to help in finding him.
While enquiring about ‘Dottu’, Vandana said that she asked few food delivery guys at an eatery nearby her house and to her surprise, one of the delivery man identified the dog and said that one of his colleagues took the dog with him.

Vandana Shah when enquired further also got a picture of her dog with the man who is a delivery guy with Zomato, identified as Tushar.
"We took his contact number and asked him about Dottu. Tushar confessed to having picked him up but when we asked him to return the dog he started making up excuses and said that he had sent him to his village," she said as quoted by news agency ANI.
"We also offered him money in exchange for our beagle but he kept on giving us evasive answers and for the last few hours he has switched off his cellphone", said Shah as quoted by news agency ANI.
Vandana then approached Zomato to look into the matter and told them about the bizarre incident. Knowing about the incident Zomato quickly responded to her query and said, "That's totally not acceptable. Please help us with your contact details or the order details via DM and someone from our team will reach out to you at the earliest,"

The couple also revealed that the police refused to even register the complaint despite assuring them of help yesterday.
