Uttar Pradesh Lockdown 4.0 Guidelines: Industrial activities to resume, shops to open; night curfew continues
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday allowed resumption of all industrial activities in non-containment zones in the state in the fourth phase of the coronavirus lockdown till May 31.
The government has also allowed people from Delhi to travel to Noida and Ghaziabad. However, those those living in coronavirus hotspots in the capital will not be allowed to enter the two neighbouring areas.
But Noida said that "status quo" will be maintained for now or that people will not be allowed to enter Noida from the capital.
"This is to inform all concerned that, Status quo shall be maintained between Delhi Noida Border for now. We have sought instructions from state govt. as regards to implementation of Point 3(1) and 7(12) of GO of Home dept vide No.924 dated 18/5/2020 -CP GB Nagar -DM GB Nagar (sic)," the Information Department of Gautam Buddh Nagar tweeted.
All vegetable markets will be allowed to open from 4 am to 7 am only and retail vegetables could be sold between 6 am and 9 pm, the government said in fresh guidelines.
Shop owners and staff will have to wear masks and arrange sanitisers for customers, it said.
Night prohibitory orders will be in place in the state and no movement of vehicles, except for essential activities, will be allowed between 7 pm and 7 am, the state government said.
People aged above 65 years or those with comorbidities, pregnant women and children less than 10 years have been advised to stay home.
Restaurants will be allowed to open for home delivery but dining is not permitted.
Banquet halls have been permitted to open but not more than 20 people can attend a wedding, it said.
Three people can travel in a car and only one person is allowed on two-wheelers.
The state government has also decided to categorise "red", "green" and "orange" zones and containment and buffer zones within red and orange zones as per the home ministry guidelines.
The guidelines came a day after the Centre extended the lockdown by two more weeks and asked the states to delineate the red, orange and green zones and directed district administrations to identify containment and buffer zones based on the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry.
Air travel and metro rail services, along with schools, colleges, shopping malls and gyms, continue to remain shut across the country till the end of the month. However, the Centre has allowed inter- and intra-state movement of people and opening of shops and markets, except those falling in containment zones.
