The Supreme Court had recently transferred the Unnao rape case to Delhi and the Tees Hazari court is now holding daily hearings.

Sengar was arrested by the CBI on April 13, 2018, on rape charges and is lodged in the Sitapur district jail.

Earlier, the CBI had told the court that Sengar and his brother assaulted the father of the girl and framed him in an Arms Act case, in collusion with three state police officials and five others.

The agency had submitted that the MLA and his "accomplices" got lodged an FIR, accusing the rape survivor's father of possessing a country-made pistol and four live cartridges.

Earlier, the arms licences of Sengar were cancelled. Sengar had licences to possess a single barrel gun, a rifle and a revolver.

The process to cancel his gun licences was underway and on Friday the district magistrate of Unnao ordered revocation of the licences on a demand from the family of the rape survivor.
