Jammu | Jagran News Desk: Pakistan on Tuesday, violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir in Tangdhar and Keran sector. The Indian Army retaliated strongly to this and killed two Pakistani soldiers.

In another ceasefire violation by the Pakistani Army in Sunderbani sector, one Indian jawan lost his life.

The martyred soldier has been identified as Naik Krishan Lal who was a resident of Ghagriya village. 

"In the exchange of fire, Naik Krishan Lal attained martyrdom. Naik Krishan Lal, aged 34 years belonged to Village Ghagriyal, Post Office - Khour, Tehsil - Akhnoor, District - Jammu, J&K and is survived by his wife, Smt Shashi Devi. Naik Krishan Lal was a brave, highly motivated and sincere soldier. The Nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty," the army said in a statement.

"Heavy damage to Pak Army posts and casualties to Pak soldiers have been inflicted by own troops," the statement added.

Earlier, three civilians, including a woman and her baby, were injured as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire by resorting to intense mortar shelling and firing of small arms on forward posts and villages along the LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
