New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Issuing guidelines for the fourth phase of lockdown, the Telangana government on Monday announced that beauty parlours and salons will open across the state, except containment zones, and state-run buses will ply on roads.   

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced that the state be divided into Green and Containment zones, and there will be no red and orange zones. Telangana has so far reported over 1,500 cases and 34 deaths due to coronavirus. 

"Auto and cab services will be allowed in Hyderabad to operate. In autos, two passengers and three passengers in cabs will be permitted. Salons can operate in areas excluding containment zones. E-Commerce activities can also function 100 per cent in the state," said Rao. 

He also announced that public gatherings, shopping malls, cinema halls and banquet halls will remain shut across the state till May 31. "All religious centers and religious congregations remain prohibited. Cinema halls, banquet halls and malls will remain closed. Public gathering, rallies,educational institutions remain prohibited too. Night curfew will also continue in state as per decisions taken earlier," he said. 

Rao further warned people with imposition of a complete lockdown across the state if people violate the rules issued by the government. He also said that found without face masks will be fined with Rs 1,000.  

Telangana was the first state to extend the lockdown till May 18, even before the Home Ministry had issued the order for the third phase of lockdown. 

This comes after the MHA on Sunday said that states and UTs will now categorise red, orange and green zones taking into consideration the revised guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.

The home secretary said states and union territories (UTs) will now categorise red, orange and green zones and inside the red and orange zones, containment and buffer zones will be identified by the district administration and local urban bodies with technical inputs at local level and by taking into consideration the health ministry guidelines.

It has allowed e-commerce platforms to deliver all goods, including those considered non-essential, in all areas except containment zones.

All shops, except those in containment zones and malls, will be allowed to open from Monday with staggered timings during lockdown 4.0 which includes barber shops and parlour except in containment zones.
