About Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case:
Sushant Singh Rajput, who played the role of veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni in his biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, had committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14. The actor was reportedly suffering from depression from the last six months. According to the post mortem report, Sushant had died because of asphyxia due to hanging.
Following his untimely demise, a debate over favourtism and nepotism in Bollywood started, with his fans slamming filmmaker Karan Johar, Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt.
Meanwhile, the police said that it will probe into the alleged cause of ‘clinical depression owing to the professional rivalry’ behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
“We've got his detailed post-mortem report and doctors have clearly mentioned asphyxia due to hanging as cause of his death,” Maharashtra Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe had said earlier.
So far, the police have questioned 35 people, including his family members, friends and co-workers, in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The police also questioned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who reportedly told them that he never dropped Sushant and he wanted to focus on Yash Raj Films Paani, directed by Shekhar Kapoor at that point in time.
