New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: At least seven people were killed and four others were injured after an explosion at a candle factory in Ghaziabad's Modinagar, District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey said. A team of firefighters and police reached the spot soon after getting the information from locals.

All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing medical treatment. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the incident and expressed his condolences.

"Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences on the death of the people in the incident of fire in a candle factory in Bakhrwa village of Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad," the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) tweeted.

The UP CM also directed Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey and SSP Kalanidhi Naithani to reach the spot and send him the report by today evening.

"The Chief Minister has instructed the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police to reach the spot and provide immediate relief to the injured in the incident. Also, he has also directed to investigate the incident and submit the report till evening today," the CMO said in another tweet.
