New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: A NITI Aayog official tested positive for COVID19 in the national capital on Monday. In view of safety purposes, the third floor of their office in Delhi is sealed and sanitisation process is underway. Those who had come in contact with the person have been asked to undergo self-quarantine for a period of 14 days. 

Last month, the two-building were sealed for two days to carry out disinfection and sanitisation process after a director-level officer had tested positive for coronavirus at NITI Bhawan. 

Earlier this week, at least two officials with the Ministry of External Affairs tested positive for the virus. One of them worked as a legal officer in law division, while another worked as a consultant in ministry's Central Europe division of New Delhi. A sanitation employee of SDMC deployed in Bardarpur passed away due to COVID-19 on Sunday, as per media reports

The number of coronavirus cases in Delhi is on a rapid rise in the last few days. On Sunday, 1,295 fresh cases were reported. According to the Ministry of Home and Family Affairs, the number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital is 19,844, while the death toll stands at 473 fatalities. At the same time, 8478 have recovered from the pandemic. 

Amid rising cases in the national capital, the number of containment zones have increased to 122. The lockdown is set to continue in containment zones across the country till June 30. At least 51 areas have been also de-contained.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that state borders will be closed for seven days. 

He also announced numerous relaxations: Barbershops and salons are set to resume after over two months while spa will remain closed. The relaxations like the number of passengers restricted in e-rickshaw, buses, taxis and cabs have been also relaxed.
