Pune | Jagran News Desk: As many as six people have been killed and several are injured after a bus collided with a truck on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway on Thursday morning.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

Earlier, Pune division’s State Highway Superintendent, Milind Mohite had said that five people were killed and 10 people were injured. However, the death toll later increased to six.

“Five people have died and 10 have sustained injuries after a collision between two buses near Satara on Pune-Bangalore National Highway, earlier today,” Mohite had said.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident in Uttar Pradesh today, five people were killed after a speeding car rammed into a truck in Hapur.

According to the police, on the national highway, a speeding car rammed into a stationary truck.

Police have sent the bodies for postmortem.
