New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: Flustered over the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Jaish-e-Mohammed is readying a squad to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NSA Ajit Doval, according to a report in Times of India which quoted intelligence sources.

The report further claimed that a major in Pakistan’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is working hand-in-hand with the Jaish leadership for the “sensational attack”.

The Indian intelligence agencies received an input from a foreign counterpart which intercepted the communication between Jaish-e-Mohammed operative Shamsher Wani and his handler in the form of a handwritten note, which talks about planning a massive attack in September.

Following the threat, an alert has been issued to police in 30 cities including Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Kanpur and Lucknow.

Doval faces an unprecedented level of threat, especially after he played the key role in the recent counter-terror operations, particularly the air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed’s biggest terror camp in Balakot and the surgical strike in PoK to avenge the terror attack on an Army camp in Uri.

Time and again, Jaish has been releasing audio and video messages, conveying its resolve to avenge the elimination of its key operatives by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years.

On Monday, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that the terror camps in Balakot, which were destroyed in the air strikes earlier this year, have been reactivated and that around 450-500 terrorists are ready to infiltrate into the Indian terriroties via Jammu and Kashmir.
