Delhi Metro train service to remain suspended till April 14 amid coronavirus lockdown
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Delhi Metro Rail Coroporation (DMRC) on Thursday announced that the metro train services will remain remain suspended till April 14 in wake of the 21-day-long nationwide lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to combat the spread of coronavirus.
"It is hereby informed that, in light of the lockdown issued by the government, Metro services will remain closed till 14 April 2020," the DMRC said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier, the DMRC had suspended the services on March 22 when the nation had observed 'Janata Curfew' called by PM Modi, when they stayed indoors in a bid to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus. It had then announced suspension of services till March 31.
