Delhi Lockdown 4.0 News: Buses, autos, cabs and taxis allowed to ply on roads, but with conditions
New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced fresh guidelines for the fourth phase of lockdown. He said that the buses with up to 20 passengers would be allowed to ply in the national capital.
"Buses are allowed to run but with only 20 passengers at a time," ANI quoted him as saying.
He added that passengers will be screened before he/she boards the bus. Transport Dept will ensure that social distancing norms are followed at all bus-stops and inside the bus.
For smaller vehicles, two passengers can travel on cabs and taxis, while auto, e-rickshaws, cycle rickshaws are only allowed to carry one passenger.
"Taxis & cabs will be allowed but only 2 passengers at a time in a car," Kejriwal said.
Four-wheelers with only two passengers will be allowed. Two-wheelers will also be allowed but with no pillion rider.
"Carpooling or car-sharing will not be allowed for aggregators. Auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws & cycle-rickshaws will be allowed but only with 1 passenger. For two-wheelers, pillion rider will not be allowed. There will be no activity allowed in containment zones," the Chief Minister said as quoted by ANI.

Meanwhile, stepping out of homes between 7 pm to 7 am, except for essential services will be prohibited.
The announcement comes a day after Home Ministry announced guidelines for lockdown 4. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Sunday directed all the states to continue to the lockdown till May 31.
According to the latest data by the Union Health Ministry, Delhi has reported 10,054 cases with 160 fatalities. A total of 4,485 patients have been cured from the virus.
The nationwide toll due to COVID-19 has topped 96,000 with over 3,000 fatalities. The recovery rate is currently 38.2 per cent in the country.
